SV 211 Engine divider removal

OK dumb question here. Just bought an 06 SV 211. I cannot figure out how to remove the engine dividers on the starboard side. Do you have to take off the top bracket? Mine has the reversable pumps attached to the top bracket

Never mind I figured it out. Just tighter on that side.

I have to remove that crossbar bracket on mine. Did you have to remove? By the way, if you are removing both sides I highly suggest labeling them. I’ve gotten mixed up before and they can be tricky getting that back correctly

I was able to get it finally without removing the crossbar. Took a good amount of sliding and working back and forth. We shall see if I can get them back in. Good idea on the labeling. I just laid the pieces from the two sides on either side of my boat.

So how did you remove them in the end? Can you share the process? I need to remove mine and any help would be great!

Starboard side I pull the bolts that hold the top cross-member. Also, it's easier if you detach the gas strut from the engine hatch cover. Then, just lift that cross-member up a bit (it's a heavy SOB), and you will be able to wiggle the top divider around and get it out. The bottom dividers then come out easily. The port side, you just lift the top divider section up enough that you can separate if from the bottom sections and then slide it down and out. I hope that makes sense.
Definitely label them when you pull them out.
This reminds me that I noticed my starboard one popped out of the bottom channel, and I need to address that.

Thanks! I am trying to access the oil pressure switch (not sensor) which I think is faulty and causing my check engine light to come on and is intermittently putting the engine into lilp mode. Do you know if I need to access this switch by removing the starboard side or does the wire run into one of the visible harnesses?

Regarding the starboard side divider, there is an aluminium plate running along the engine side with three identical components attached to it (sorry not a mechanic they are the size and shape of a smaller filter). Does this alumimium panel attach to the dividers or do the dividers come out independent of this?

Not sure on the oil pressure switch.

The dividers are indpependent of the aluminum panel (assuming it's the same as mine, those are your ballast pumps). That aluminum panel is attached to the upper cross-member, which is why it is so heavy.

Those three componets are your ballast pumps. It makes it very hard to remove your cross member. I always just kind of forced my dividers in and out. If I remember right you dont need to pull your dividers to get to that oil pressure switch ( but dont quote me on that). It is lower on the engine on the starboard side towards the front of the engine.

MN Ryan you beat me to it I see. My boat is long gone and I am going off of memory so I would listen to MN ryan. Good guy and knows his stuff.

My ultimate solution was to get rid of the boat and go back to a direct drive and exlusivley slalom ski but thats not much help for you.

LOL, it's a bit of a pain, especially if you have Wakemakers divider panel savers installed (which are also a pain on a 211, but that's another topic). To be clear, I don't completely remove the cross-member--I just pull the bolts and lift it up an inch or so to make things easier. It'll stay put.

Thanks guys, for the life of me I cannot locate that oil pressure switch looking down on the ZR6 engine. I know it must be starboard side but I dont see it. Is “front of engine” towards the fromt or rear of the boat on a SV211?

Mine has the Excalibur 330, but with a v-drive, the "front" of the engine faces the rear of the boat.

So not sure what the ZR6 is but I should have clarified. "Front of engine" meaning towards the front of the boat. Mine was almost right under the Fuel Filter but I am just not sure on a Zr6.
