Need help with 97 GT-40 not starting

I drove my boat up onto a sandbar that was a little shallow, once i realized i threw the boat in neutral and killed the motor, once i got off the sandbar i tried to start the motor up again and it would not start and the engine overheat or low oil pressure light came on and is still on, i noticed that the engine temp was up around 200 which is higher than normal operating temp, im wondering if there is a code that went off and just needs to be reset? i dont see how anything major could have happend but still cannot get the motor to fire.
The boat is a 1997 super sport nautique with the GT-40, any info or ideas would help because i am stumped.

A few thoughts on some simple things...

Check the safety lanyard next to the throttle (this one has caught me once or twice).
Check to see if your fresh water intake got clogged up on the sandbar. I don't know for sure if there's a shut-down feature on that engine, but it's an easy check.
Check your neutral safety switch on the engine. Maybe a jolt to the boat or a quick flick of the throttle dislodged it.

    Fingers crossed it's something simple.

      All excellent suggestions.

When you turn the key does your fuel pumps cycle for a few seconds ? If not check the relays powering the fuel pump. When you turn the key relay 1 is energized and sends power (12v) to relay 2 and the ECM. The EMC then applies ground to the relay 2 actuation coil. Relay 2 turns on and powers the pump. I have had both fail on my Nautique.

Both relays are part number R130011

When i turn the key i do believe i can hear the fuel pump turn on for a few seconds but it is like its not getting fuel.

Pull a plug and with someone cranking the engine hold threaded part to a ground and see if there is a spark.

Also, is the plug dry ?

If the fuel pumps (low pressure and high pressure) are running and there is spark then you may have a problem with the injector signals possible from a harness connection coming undone.

You can trying pouring a SMALL amount of gas into the plug opening, replace the plug then see if you get an engine fire. If so then it points to a fuel supply problem.

The high pressure pump is in the fuel control cell and should emit a buzzing sound for a few seconds when the key is turned.
