    Trailer Bunk Carpet Replacement

Any tips or tricks out there for replacing the carpet on the bunks on my CC trailer? What kind of carpet is best?

    RE: Trailer Bunk Carpet Replacement

Just make sure the carpet you buy is long enough to cover the length and wide enough to fold around the board and staple to the bottom not the sides. Use rust free staples. I use Runner material I purchased from Home Depot and it has lasted 3 seasons so far with noe visible wear.

UV resistant carpet is available in rolls wide enough for 2X4 or 2X6 bunks. It lasts longer. Available from boating vendors, maybe Barts or Overtons, West Marine. Otherwise ask your carpet guy for UV resistant carpet. Good Luck CB

Home Depot carries the same heavy duty indoor/ourdoor carpet that is usually standard equipment on bunks and is much chaeper then buying it from a marine supply store.

Great tip on the carpet from Home Depot. Picked up some and spent $12, enough for both bunks.
