    Collinite wax!

Holy cow! I used Collinite wax. What’s the secret to using this stuff. 3M liquid wax goes on and comes off easily. I put collinite on, sits 10 minutes to firm up, and then spent the next 10 hours removing it! Granted it’s lasting a lot longer , but wtf

I never had any issues with their wax. I always use the hull cleaner first after a good was and then the liquid wax. I remember using the paste wax before and it was tough to buff off but the boat was long overdue. Are you using the liquid or paste wax?

I love Collinite but did not experience the issues you are having.

Yellow paste - it would not come off, maybe I put to much on- I don’t think so though- I’ve waxed my boat twice a year for 20 years with liquid-

Never had trouble with the Collinite 925 and a foam pad. What are you using if it's yellow?

I think he’s referring to the 885 fleetwax paste. I have some at home that I might try out again to see what it does. I like the 925 so much that I don’t ever use the 885. IIRC the 885 says to use a damp sponge or applicator pad when applying... it’s been a while since I have read the directions. Did you use a damp sponge or pad?

I have never tried waxing it without using the collinite hull wash either. I’m not sure if that would make a difference.

I use the 925 Collonite paste wax a few times a year. Easy on and easy off.....something is not right if its that tough to remove. Never seen the yellow paste you are referring too tho

I’m going to assume you put it on really thick if it took that long to get off. I use the paste wax.
