    1235 vs 2079 prop for a 220 with PCM 330?

Going to switch out my current 645 prop due to problems getting up to speed when loaded heavy. Surfing mostly with ballast 3000lbs and 6 people. What prop would you recommend, 1235 vs 2079? Only surfing and boarding.

I used to have an 07 220 with the 390hp 6.0l engine and I ran the 1235 and was happy with it. I would run about 3000lbs of ballast also, well less when surfing because we would lean the boat to one side and empty one of the soft tanks in the back. Factory+piggy back tanks+some lead if we didn't have a full crew. The only time that I could not get up to planing speed was with 10 people in the boat at Tahoe (6200ft). I had to drain some ballast. While you have the smaller engine, I don't think the torque curves are hugely different so I would try the 1235 and if that doesn't work for you go with the 2079. My preference is to have just enough prop to wake surf so that when we are cruising or wakeboarding or skiing the engine is not running super high rpms.

Ended up going with the ACME 1615 based on their recommendations. Right in between the 1235 and 2079. Solved all my problems. Quick out of ghe hole and planes out when fully loaded.
