Yep, great point. 10-15 years from now owner gonna be in a bad place...A failure gonna be a big problem i bet.

I'm hoping Nautique and the OEM suppliers will provide support for a long time, but eventually they will stop.

I have a larger boat where the information is all NEMA data so when I replaced by old Raymarine equipment with Furuno I kept my Raymarine autopilot system and it plugged into the new components; chart plotter, sonar and radar all communicated. I installed a Fusion marine stereo on my 230 and that too runs on NEMA so it can display on any NEMA compliant screen. The screen itself can be stupid. Seems simple but with wake boats my understanding is that the system is a little more unique with many different sensors feeding into the system. Long term availability is worrisome to me as well as on the water solutions when a dealer is not close.

Analog gauges aren't without fault. Wasn't it the Faria gauges and gateways that notoriously went out on Nautiques in the past?2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

It will be a problem when Nautique's support ends, but like with the GT40's ECM's someone will step up to the plate I'm sure,it will just take some time. It's a problem in the automotive field as well,my Dad had a Lincoln with the digital dash- it went completely down. Lincoln said sorry we do not have the parts to fix. I got on line and found a repair shop- I removed the gauge cluster, sent it in and 4 days later it was back in hand. The only problem with this,Ford built almost a half million of those cars so the probability of one being bad was greater so the market was there. There will be less linc's going bad so maybe like the ECM's it will be a more grass roots fix

I love the Linc for Zero off. Many options plain to see and easy to teach and learn for drivers with less experience with the Linc system. I do not, and never will, like the unnecessary options unrelated to the engine or speed control management being integrated into it. Simple is ALWAYS easier. A button for seat heater, a button for interior lights, a button for the heater. Faster, simpler and ultimately safer.2018 200 Team H6
