Wanted to ask others if they have ever noticed a mildew like smell coming from the floor area near the helm? I haven't cleaned the seadek yet and wondering what product most like to use that is safe. Thanks.

SeaDek is easy to keep clean, but like anything else it requires regular maintenance. I just use the same car wash shampoo that I use to keep the outside of the hull clean. Rinse it down and then brush clean it. Rinse and you should be good to go.

OK - thanks for that. I was just worried about a layer of soap residue remaining on the seadek and making things permanently 'slippery when wet'. If you're not experiencing any issues like that I'll give it a go.

We use dr bronner's Castile soap. Lake safe. The extra cleans the bilge also
