1994 Sport Nautique

I have a vibration in low idle and was told it’s coming from the transmission... Does anyone have or had similar experience with this? Yes I was told it could be the Damper plate, However they also said that the transmission housing is aluminum and could very well be cracked. I was also informed that if this they do not make these anymore but do have a retro fit transmission but that it does not fit the sport nautique well at all and most times will not work!

Has anyone heard of this and know of any retro fit options?

Sometimes on boats of that era, the transmission damper plate can rattle. It doesn't really cause a vibration, but it does happen at idle only. Is that maybe what you're talking about?

That could be it for sure! It’s only there at an idle. I was told by my local nautique shop that this transmission housing is aluminum. They have a history of cracking and that there is no replacement that will fit, if this is the problem. I find that hard to believe being a pcm motor and correct craft. Have you heard anything like that before?
