2012 Super Air Nautique Byerly 210 oxidation

I have a 2012 210 Byerly edition. There is a very obviously line of oxidation or something around the boat.

The Boat was kept on a hoist its whole life, so not sure how it has happened in 5 years.

Anyhow, a local fiberglass/boat repair placed tried to do a test spot under the swim platform with no change. They used 320, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. They stated that if they went with anything below 320 it might hit the flake.

Any ideas?

That looks like it was stored in the water, not on a lift. Not sure what's going to touch that, if 320 didn't do it. That could turn into a very major repair!

Wow! That's an impressive amount of oxidation on a 6 year old boat. I agree with Jeff. It looks like it was stored in the water and not on a lift. The oxidation line looks like its pretty close to where the water line should be, all be it a little high on the boat for the water line.

I wish I has a good suggestion. That's going to be difficult, timely, and costly to restore the shine. Can you get a 2nd opinion from another fiberglass repair shop? Not all are created equal.

Very cool boat though! How is the condition of the rest of the boat? Good luck restoring it.
