2017 G23 lots of rust on windshield , is it under warranty?

I have a 2017 G23 Coastal Edition which I got it about a little over year ago. My windshield frame has been rusting like crazy, unlike my old Nautique 2010 SAN210 which I saw few days ago ( Sold to a friends friend who parks the boat few warehouses down the street ) the 210 windshield is basically still looking brand new after 9 years! I'm not lazy in cleaning my boat, both Nautiques has been used and parked the same way but the G23 windshield is rusting!

I think something went wrong when the windshield frame was prepped for paint at the factory as the rust is coming through the paint! Can I claim this as warranty work? Anyone else have this problem?

Salt water? They’ll probably hold that against you. But if it’s an actual paint defect possibly

I have a coastal G as well but I have not had it in salt water yet. Still seems to soon for your entire windshield frame to start rusting. Also on the coastal models, the paint for the windsheld and tower are powder coated vs smooth to help fight corrosion. I would claim for warranty.

Is it really rust? The windshield frame is aluminum and may have minor corrosion, but shouldn’t rust. Do you have any pics?

The paint on the board racks on my 2014 210 started bubbling up like that and Nautique warrantied them.
The claim was denied at first saying that the paint was chipping do to the boards hitting the paint.
I took a video of the bubbling paint with no chipping or other marks and they turned the claim around and sent me new ones.
I think you should talk to them.

I would think that's a legitimate warranty claim.

Whether covered under warrantee or not, I would powder coat the windshield frame. It'll hold up longer and be a little harder to chip. I did mine 14 years ago and it's holding up great. Not terribly hard to do. Take the windshield off and then take the frame off the glass. Scary part is putting it back together, lots of soap and water.

I am wondering if you got the regular not salt series windscreen by mistake.

He has got a Coastal Edition 2017 G23 like my G23. During that year all windsheild frames and towers were powder coated on the coastal editions.
