New Stainless & Rubber Tread Plates

Just got a SWEET pair of the new Stainless & Rubber Tread Plates to put on my SAN
Only thing is didnt come with the Fixings
Can anyone tell me what size and head type of s/s screw I should use?
These things have a load of holes in them do you think its necessary to drill and
Screw them all??

haha i was just laughing @ all the Screws in my buddy's '05 216, my '78 ski has 4. I think if I remember the new ones have like 8 or something obscene like that, i dunno i'd say if the holes are there u might as well use that many screws, it might look weird with extra holes going through the step pad & seeing the Gel underneath...

All of the holes have screws in them in my boat. I think that they are stainless hex rounded top screws. I'll snap a picture and post when I get home this evening for you.

The ones from CC are a #10-24 truss head screw. You will want to pre-drill the holes with a 1/8" bit and then I also used a countersink at the top of the holes and countersunk the top of the hole just a little bigger, this helps stop any small cracking from the holes. You will have 8 holes per side, and yes, I would put a screw in each hole for it to look right. IMO

As promised, here is a pic of mine. I was wrong they are phillips head round headed screws, not allen heads.

I second 95s thoughts. I think they might technically be oval heads as opposed to round heads. BKH

Where are those mounted at? With all that metal, I bet they get really hot in the sun! Seems like the Nautique non-slip pieces (i.e. with the N pattern) would be better.

They are the step pads for tthe gunnels. They don't seem any hotter to me than the black "N" pieces that come standard if you don't buy the stainless option. Both are hot in the sun, but the bimini shades them some of the time.
