    Gs20 ballast hose

    Hi,

I’m going to install some ballast bags into my boat this weekend, we keep our boat two hours away. Does anyone know what size the hoses are for the factory ballast system so I can buy these in advance?

Are the vent and fill lines the same size?

    thanks

    Nick,

I can't remember if they are 1" or 1.25". I got my hoses from Wakemakers in the form of a piggy back kit. Hopefully someone else will have a definitive answer.

I gave up trying to piggy back mine because I couldn't get the overflow hoses off the through hull fittings in the back of the boat. The through hull fittings are so far forward that I just couldn't get the hose clamps loose. If you figure out a way to accomplish this, I would love to hear how you did it.

All ballast hose are 1 inch. I have just installed the vent hoses which were a bit tricky but i didnt need to remove anything. I just hoped in the rear locker with a impact driver hex head tool on a short extension to undo the hose clamps. These pulled off relatively easily, which i was expecting to be the hardest part.

a couple squashed hands and about 10minutes later vent lines installed.

i think if the vent lines didnt pop off real easy it would have been a nightmare.

Not sure on a 20, but on a 23 & 25, you can get right to them through the pop-out interior trim panels.

I couldn’t get my cordless drill with hex driver on the hose clamp screw because of the way the hose clamp was turned.
