Does anyone have a DYI with steps and pictures on how to change the FCC filter on a 2016 G model? Looking at changing the filter soon and any reference material will be useful.

    Thank you in advance.

I did mine on my 2017 G23 at 200 hours and told myself I would never tackle the job again , but hey I'm in my fifties. This year when I get my dealer to change my impeller in April, I will get him to change the FCC filter. To me it is worth the expense to get someone else to do this task. Others will tell you how easy it is to change but not for me. Been there done that.

sometimes it goes easier then other times. on my g21 there is not much room where they mounted it. on my old 210 there was plenty. also depends on your comfort dealing with gasoline related projects. if you search this site there is probably someone that documented.

p.s. i do mine and i am in my fifties...so not sure i understand that comment.

Nice video. Leaves a bit to be desired but you definitely get the idea of what's going on. I really didn't see anything that would stop me from doing this myself and I'm in my 60s now.

Scottb7 I guess I'm just out of shape and not the expert that you are. I changed it once and will not change it again on my own. Well worth the money to get my dealer to preform the task

Your too kind. I am an overweight accountant. I was just curious cause you said it was something to do with being in fifties. I am confident you could do it easier the 2nd time if you wanted to. Thanks.

Not for me in Round Two. Round One for me was a royal PITA. Worth every penny to get the dealer to install for me in April.

It's during conversations like this I really like my direct drive.

1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)

What? Now I confused. Don't both vdrive and direct drive both have same fuel system with fcc once you get to the year they started using fcc?

If it helps, you only have to change the fcc every 200 hours, and change the prefilter every 100...not according to the books but based on how it looks.

I have changed the FCC filter before but this was on direct drives. Lots of space and easy to get the canister in and out.

I looked at the space on the G and it looks very tight.

I had seen the video from N3. Straight forward and with plenty of space to work in.

                        Thank you the the feedback.
