    2005 SV211 ballast pump questions

can someone tell me how the ballast system works on a 2005 sv 211. I have read many different post and am trying to piece it all together. All of my control knobs are frozen and the center one is broken. So first I am trying to find where the other end of those cables are to see if I can get it loosened up or what the problem is. I read NautiqueJeff had an automated solution. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I probably can’t provide the in depth answer that you’re looking for, but the knobs on my ‘05 are difficult to turn. However, they do function properly.

Those control knobs are/were junk. The best solution I’ve read are doing 12v solenoid valves tied into power to fill pumps. I personally haven’t done it and just use the manual ball valves still. Not a huge deal to me.

If you open your engine hatch and look towards the front, you'll see some black valves with a black cable coming off them, those are the valves controlled by the handles at the helm. Your best bet is to replace them with solenoid activated valves - there's a link on here somewhere, I think it's by Mikeski. And while you're in there you may as well replace the pumps with something a little better.
