Need some info from you guys. Hit a log or something at end of year that was underwater and couldn't see so it broke off my shaft and prop. Was thinking of a new prop also but wanted to know what would be best. Have the GT40 engine. I have 750's in both rear lockers and 800 in belly and a 400 bow bag. We do a lot of surfing and some wakeboarding these days. Can you give me some ideas on what prop to go with?

I have the same boat as you and run about 500-700 lbs less weight. I went with the Acme 1616 prop and it was a night and day difference for me. For your ballast set up I would recommend the Acme 2570. That’s one step more aggressive than my prop and I believe the most aggressive that Acme offers for our boat. You will be extremely happy with the performance upgrade. And I recommend purchasing from Delta Propeller. They are consistently cheaper than anywhere else.

What prop did you have before? How did you like it? I don't see you mention skiing, but how about motoring across the lake? How much top end are you willing to sacrifice?
+1 for delta

I will say I went from the stock prop (whatever that may have been) to the Acme 1616 and only lost 1-2mph. I went from 42mph down to 41.

My old prop came with the boat when I bought it 5 years ago and not even sure what it was. When I would hammer it alone I could get to 45-47 and I don't really need to go that fast. Even sometimes cruising the rivers at 30 is enough for me. We don't ski much but once my foot heals I do want to a little bit but not much. Mostly surfing and boarding and pulling kids on tubes. So I am fine losing some of the top end speed.
