Has anybody out there done any sort of a keel guard on a G23 on 16’ or newer after they got away from the flat front end? The original owners of this boat did not pull the boat far enough forward on the trailer so going down the road it must have bounced up and down and blown the gel coat out right above the hook. The dealership “fixed” it before we picked it up but then it supposedly blew out again before they made it back to the dealership. Apparently this is a common problem with Gs? Here are some pictures of the blowout and what the plan was to use after the gelcoat was fixed again. It would have worked great and looked pretty good as well, but even though that angle on the front of the boat looks the same from top to bottom it is far from it. There is roughly a 12 degree difference spread out over 18”. To make this plate fit right it would take some pretty intricate work.
