Leaving bilge pumps on for winter storage?

Might seem a little red neck. What about buying a cheap automatic bilge pump putting it in the bilge use the existing hose from the old bilge. But run the wiring to the battery of the boat lift, this way you don’t have to worry about killing the boat batteries over time and the lift is always charging.

I have the batteries plugged in.

batteries are plugged into a charger? then yes i would leave the pumps on.
