99 Pro Air Bilge Replacement

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the manual bilge pump on the 99 Pro Air with an automatic bilge pump. I had quite a lot of water in the bilge after a week of rain here in Central Florida.

I had thought about putting in a float switch and just leaving the fuse on as well. That way I wouldn't have to replace a working bilge pump, just add on a $14 part.

I beleive the pump you have is an electronic automatic. If you turn it on with the switch it will run immediately and for about 2 minutes after there is no more water. It then cycles for 5 seconds every 2 minutes. If it feels resistance from water it then runs until the resistance is gone plus I think another minute.

Rick, I wish that were true. If so then maybe my pump is broken because it runs constantly.

Also, I don't know where the second bilge is. I can see the first one directly in front of the motor, but I believe there are two, right?

the 2nd pump is in the back, under the rear seat. The best way to reach it is to remove the middle floor panel behind the engine cover. You'll stil have to reach back to get it, but you should be able to see it from there.

You should be able to replace the front one with one of the electronic ones. In fact the unit may just snap into the strainer basket of the old one. Rule makes all of the same GPM pumps the same at the strainer
