What are these things?

Can anyone tell me what the 2 things are that have the black cables and point down, on either side of the swim platform mounting brackets? And what they are used for? I just bought a 2000 Sport Nautique, and it has patched holes where it appears these things were probably mounted at some point. It's probably a simple answer, but I've been trying to search but am coming up empty.

Those are speedometer pitot tubes. If your gauges were replaced, the speedometer is likely GPS-based now, so they would no longer be needed.
