    Anodes

Hi, I'm new to this site and don't know how to make my own post haha.
    So I thought I'll take a chance here. I have a Nautique 196 1997 with a Ford PCM GT40 engine.
Can anyone post a picture where the anodes/anode are located on the engine?

    Thanks

I’m pretty positive there weren’t any OEM anodes until the coastal edition boats were introduced. If you’re in freshwater there really is no need for them although I know they do make them for outboards and I/o. If you’re in salt, I’m sure someone here can help you with that if needed.

I have 1 anode in my 2014 ZR409 (partial full system) its located in the fresh water drain for heat exchanger. I run in fresh water and have not ever had to replace it. I do check it each year when I winterize to be sure its still good. Looks to me like mine has never shrunk in size.
