Drain plug left in and it rained

2015 G23. Left boat out and it rained. About a foot of water collected measured at the plug area. Anyone know if there is anything the water would have gotten to? Engine area seemed like the water wasn’t high at all.

Unlikely. Just drain it out and let it dry. Should be fine.

A foot at the drain plug didn't likely get to anything vital. Count it a blessing that you didn't forget about it until it warmed up in the spring.... it comes up on the forums from time to time whether or not you should keep the plug out while on the trailer so that you don't forget to put it in when you get to the lake. I am in the camp that feels strongly you should take it out.

This is a guy who kept the plug in and here is what the boat looked like after it warmed up in the spring:

Happened to me the night I took delivery of my 12 sante.

Nothing bad happened . I drained it and let it dry for a week

My boat was hauled 1300 miles on a private carrier with a hull full of water for delivery. I bet it was an additional 1000#. It was kept under cover at the dealer but ponding water leaked in and filled the bilge. Take it out and put it on the steering wheel or at the drivers feet. You wont forget it.
