Sorry ahead of time because I am new, the black strip which you will see in the picture below..is it best to remove and have my graphics guy add a new black stripe or just some kind of product that will bring back the luster of the original stripe

If the stripe is part of the gel coat,which I think it is, It can’t be really removed just needs a buff and maybe some wet sanding.

Looks like you need to remove the black pin stripe that outlines it, buff, then lay down new pin stripe.

Yes there’s a pin stripe in the swoop. Had same boat different color .
