    Dead tach and info center

Strange thing happened last night while skiing. Started up the boat (2003 ski206 exc 330) for another run and the message center under the tack read PRESSURE. All other guages looked fine. Pulled a skiier for a run with no problems, stopped the engine after the run. Started up for the next run and the tach is dead and the message center is blank. All other guages seem to be working fine and the boat runs fine. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
Tach and message center were still dead after several stop/start tests.

RE: Dead tach and info center

    Anyone?
I looked up the possible error codes in the manual and none of them are only the word PRESSURE. Any with the word pressure should be cycling another message. Still wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get the tach and engine message center working again.

I have the same boat and toward the end of last season, out of the blue, the tach, speado and message center went dead. I did not see the "pressure" message but I may not have been looking. The boat ran fine and the perfect pass was fine. It was a weekday so I called the dealer while on the water and we worked through all of the options - to no avail. I skied the rest of the day and took it to the dealer the next day. He ended up replacing the "bus" box. It took about 5 minutes once he got the new box.

If you end up replacing the box, make sure you get the correct one. Apparently they changed somehow in 2003-2004 and the wiring diagram was different. Also, it seems that they make a box without some of the options, e.g. water temp, depth gauge etc, and the box looks the same. This necessitated a third box which I installed myself. It is easy to do.

I am curious to see how this works out for you. Faria told my dealer that they have had very few problems with this system and that my experience was unusual.
