    Collapsing the Tower on a 2006 SV211

Any one figure out how to "easily" take down the tower on a 2006 211 team edition (it has the "heavy" speakers), I have to take the tower down to get it in the garage, it's always a two man job with alot of balancing going on.

Just looking for other ideas, thanks.

stand inside the boat and walk it down through the walk through. I have to take my tower down too and is only way to do it by myself.

the 211 tower has a lot longer front leg which means it pivot a lot farther forward and up. It really is a two person job with speakers on it. Some people have made a prop rod to push it up to the "break over point" and hold it there while they move to the front to position themself to cath it and lay it down up front.

I don't really have to worry about that since my SANTE does not have tower speakers nor is it as hard to fold as the 211.

It's a 2 person job for me too, but if I'm desperate, I remove the speakers and I can handle the tower w/o speakers just fine. There is a dowel pin on teh speaker mount, so that makes it a one man job. My wife swears the next house will have a garage that we don't have to fool around with the tower any more.

I just pull the speakers then lower the tower, it's easier than finding help to lower the tower. Even with two people it's still a scary job.

Thanks for the feedback, i'll try pulling the speakers when no one's around. There should have been an easier way....

My new dimension is too tall for me, and I have closed bow! I tie a mooring line to the towpoint and push it to the breaking point then use the rope to lower it slowly. This will be harder with the weight of the speakers though.
