2006 SANTE: Ballast gauges not working well

only one of my 3 gauges is working reliably. The others are showing either empty (always) or half-full when they are overflowing. Is this a sender problem or a gauge problem?

Is the working guage the belly tank? The senders on my two rear tanks had the same problem. They were bent and did not allow the float to past half way. Pull them out and take a look

If Inhad to guess, the belly is the working one. I will look at the senders. Do the side senders bend due to some obstruction? Also, was this a simple “unbending” repair?

      thank you!

In my case, the tanks were collapsing due to suction(had bags on top) and was the most logical cause. Straightening did not work for me

You can test the sending unit with a multi meter as the magnet floats up
          resistance changes.

Thanks Shawn - I’ll take a meter with me. Can you offer me some more guidance? I assume on the back of the gauge there are two wires that I need to attach to the meter red and black leads and set the meter to ohms to check for resistance changes? I’m very mechanical but multimeters are a weakness for me

Im sure you can test them at the gauge but i personally haven't tried. I checked mine right at the sending unit itself by unplugging the sending unit and putting my meter in ohm to test the resistance as the float goes up and down

X2, changed two of them out that were inaccurate and now working fine. The slightest curve in them can cause issues.
