Adding new decals

Getting ready to do my spring clean/wax. I have some decals i need to replace. Should I clean/wax the area before adding the new decals?

Clean yes , wax no. If you do wax you’re gonna want to strip it with a solvent anyways to ensure the decal adheres properly. Sometimes it really depends on what your stripping and replacing. If they’ve been there a while and you’re changing your look you’ll need to get the ghosting out .
