Steps taken for a full spring cleaning

Plan on starting my spring cleaning this week. Plan for the exterior is to Acid wash(is this ok for a colored hull?), then clean(meguiars boat wash), add/replace some decals and then Wax(3M 09011). Interior using Boat bling vinyl sauce and finishing with 303. Also, I'm going to try some Boat Juice on al Sea Dek.

Am I on par? Anything else to consider?

Depends on the condition of the gelcoat. Is it oxidized (white, chalky look)? If so, then you'll have to wet-sand it before you wax.

    Other things:

    - Stoner's glass cleaner followed up with Rain-X.

Never thought of Rain- X on the windsheild . Does it work fairly well? I may try it

Oh yea. Works great. It lasts longer on boats due to the lack of windshield wipers rubbing it off. One application during the Spring and possibly another mid-summer is all I ever need.

I would try a good heavy duty rubbing compound before you start a wet sand. Wet sanding just opens a whole lot of work if done wrong.

On glass the rain-X does work great but I also tried another glass type wax that I think even works better. I cannot find it right now but will post later.

Does anyone have a good suggestion to clean seadek?
              soap and water?
              Cheers!

SCwake has cleaner specific for SeaDek but it is expensive. On my Seadek I use a liquid common household cleaner and it seems to work just fine.

Question , Im just curious why you use both Boat Bling Vinyl Sauce then 303 overtop. On my vinyl, I clean and protect with just 303 and have been doing so for years. I do although use Hot Sauce on the fiberglass for wet spots. What I'm I missing here?

So I tried the SC Wake Boat juice( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) yesterday it was pleased with the results. However, this year I used a brush the attaches to my drill( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for Vinyl and Sea Dek cleaning and this thing worked great. Not sure if the Boat Juice or the brush made the difference.

As for 303. To my understanding 303 is more of a sealant. So I clean with a vinyl cleaner(brush worked great on this as well). This a put 303 on after...

I would be careful using a common household degreaser on sea dek unless heavily diluted. Heavily. Degreased will dry it out.
