I own a 2000 SAN and I heard a loud noise under the dash - I lost my steering as tsomething appears to have snapped inside the rack under the dash. When diagnosing the damage I can't seem to locate the specifics of my steering components, ie - exact type and length. I have the components disassembled but haven't pulled the cable out yet. I am wondering whether I am correct that the model of steering for this year NAUTIQUE is the TELEFLEX SS141 but I'm not sue of the length. The only indicators on the cable are "279 TELEFLEX 0032", I noted that in previous threads 19.5' appears to be what is being mentioned. Is this the same for the 2000 SAN V-Drive GT-40 model? Any insight into these question is appreciated. My TELEFLEX Gauges went last week and contacted Bill at TELEFLEX who was a huge help. I got his name from a thread thanks.
As far as installation, it looks pretty routine. Are there any attention areas that I should know before tackling the re and re? Where is the best place to get a quick turnaround after ordering? I'm stranded and holidays start next week.
