I got my '03 two summers ago (had an older Supra forever before that) and the first few things I did were:

    1. change stereo head unit - the old one actually had no left channel so... easy one.
    2. add second battery - lots of options there, and lots of good threads here too. I now have them both on the starboard side, because I found that with the seating layout, the boat tended to lean to port because of how people like to sit. So that balanced things out a bit.
    3. put a light on top of the tower (we use it a lot at night and I couldn't stand how the pole lights up the inside of the boat, reducing visibility)

Next thing I change will be to rip out the "remote" ballast valves and plumb in reversible ballast pumps.

since you're primarily surfing, i would do FAE, the biggest ballast bags you can fit, and one of max 1.6 surf kits, though he says they work for 07+ models. worth a conversation with him to see if he can do one for your hull...that would be the best surf upgrade you can possibly do to this boat.

I’ll buy one set of your racks if you’re going to ditch them for something else.

I added Fresh Air exhaust to my boat, not only does it quite down the boat a LOT, but is like having a stereo upgrade for the surfer since you do not have the exhaust pointed at you, so you can hear stereo and talk to people in boat much easier. (1st pic below shows the FAE on my boat).

To me, 2nd battery is a huge upgrade that is a must (especially if you upgrade the stereo) and with a selector switch to isolate the starting battery from the accessory battery which will run things like stereo, bilge, etc.... you greatly reduce the risk of not being able to start the boat if you drain the battery while floating and listening to stereo. My boat came with duel batteries from factory and I had a 3rd added so I have 2 on my accessory side. I then added a 3 bank NOCO charger so I can keep them topped off, I keep the system plugged in 24/7 when I trailer home and put in garage. Best way to keep batteries in good shape and last the longest is too keep them topped off....and check water level in them in spring/fall (use distilled water only). Accessory battery will be different than starting battery, look at the amp hours. Sams Club has great pricing on batteries.

On the suck gate, once you have the right amount of ballast, its a game changer for many boats. Even tho you can list the boat to get a good surf wave, you can weight the boat more level using a suck gate which make it easier to drive if you are new to inboard boats and wake surfing (wives are especially appreciative to not have a drastic list on the boat when surfing and much easier to take on water when listed over hard). Learn the tricks to driving an inboard.
I used a Nauticurl suck gate for the last 2yrs on my boat, the wave is still a little better when you have a little list on the boat, but I am talking more like 250 lb difference compared to a full list which will easily be 1000lb difference depending on your ballast setup. Course my boat is 24ft which requires more ballast to sink the hull for a great surf wave. I have 4900lbs of ballast available and of that, I dont use 250 of it on the non-surf side so am using 4,650lbs total for my surf wave.

I actually installed a new InfinityWave surf tab system on my boat about 2 weeks ago so I no longer use my Nauticurl suck gate. Dont get me wrong, the Nauticurl and many other suck gates including ones that you can easily make yourself work excellent! InfinityWave Mfg wake surf shop.... is a newer company that is making these surf tabs and I am STOKED I pulled the trigger and did it. My wave with these new surf tabs is excellent with tons of push. I finished my install on 04/13 and just got to lake test it this past week on 04/17. GSA (or "Go Surf Assist") is another after market surf tab system (Wakemakers also sells this system, they called it "Wave Control" previously since they used their own electronics but believe that starting this year they decided to use the entire GSA system since they didnt have the staff to support their own system). GSA has been out for a while and works excellent on many boats (in fact my buddy has had it on his 2006 Malibu 247 for 3yrs) but their system costs $4k so even tho I have wanted to do this upgrade to my 2014 for a while, I could not bring myself to spend that kind of money.
This new InfinityWave Mfg surf tab system is only $1,800 and I can say without any doubt now that it WORKS GREAT and was worth every penny.
Here are a couple pics taken of the InfinityWave surf tabs mounted to my boat and the wave it put out, all 4 pics taken on 04/17 when I did my first lake test.
Not trying to de-rail this thread for you, didnt intent to post this much detail but figured I would throw out this option since I can tell you from personal experience that wake surfing can be ADDICTING.

Great boat, congrats! Regardless of what you do get ready for an awesome summer.
