    Boat care products

Has anyone had any experience with how boat care products? I’m interested in trying them out, especially the water spot remover, and am just wondering what everyone has to say about their products.

Picked this up at the boat show because he sold me, actually a pretty decent wax and I was very happy with the outcome

No experience with Hula. I've used Babes and Obex and like both.

          I use :

          303 on my vinyl
Hot Sauce for water spot removal
          Jascar polymer sealant wax
Obex dual action surface guard - I use this in my cooler areas to prevent mildew.

I used Bow to Stern on my sport. Trying to decide what to use on the new 211.

Yea, Hot Sauce is good. Water spots can be tough. One of the best (and cheapest) is a spray bottle with 1/3 White Vinegar and 2/3 water. That will take them right off.

Meguiars 3 step system worked wonders on my oxidized black hull. Compound, polish and wax. Water spots seem to wipe off effortlessly now.

Has anyone had the dealer put on platinum for boats? It was offered as a protection and I was wondering if anyone has had it done. Apparently protects gelcoat and vinyl for 5 years.

I looked into the platinum stuff and a lot of people seemed to think it was not worth the cost. Even a little bit of a hoax.

Yeah I was wondering how it could hold up for 5 years . That number seems very unrealistic
