    Orientation of drivers seat brackets

Took the drivers seat out this fall and failed to take a before picture of how the rear billet piece is situated. This rear piece of billet or aluminum has two different edge angles. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I replaced the drivers seat slide a couple years ago and I recall that shiny aluminum piece I think you're talking about. I checked to see if I had a photo but couldn't find one. My best guess is this... as you say the piece has angled edges, and I think those go towards to stern. I am not certain though. Are there any markings on the bottom of the seat or slide hardware that might indicate how the original piece was installed? Areas that are not as dirty for example?

What year boat do you have as they may be different now... mine is a 2005 but I don't think they have changed too much over the years until the driver's seats started to swivel as well as slide.
