    2001 SAN VDrive

Can any of you that have a 2001 or so take a pic of your vdrive tag? Long story short. End of last season hit something underwater and tore the shaft and rudder along with the prop off. Had some gelcoat issues repaired. The shop sent off the vdrive and trans to a reputable shop in nothern Michigan in January and they just called saying they are not going to work on my transmission and vdrive. Could you let me know what the part number is to look around on the internet? Thanks in advance.

contact Walter gear they make the vdrive and will work on it or sell you a new unit if you can’t find one on eBay or somewhere.

Different question for you. I found a Walter Vdrive on the internet for a good price brand new but is for Centurion boats and is a 1.52:1 but the vdrive out of my boat is a 1.46:1. Do you think this will work and just make up the difference in the prop?

if the mounting patterns for the tranny and everything else are the same then perhaps. Anything can be made to work with the right modifications. I don’t know what those mods would be though for this swap. If it were mine I’d get the original vdrive repaired or replaced.
