    What is this?

2011 Sport 200V. After towing her home from winter storage I noticed this aluminum plate that had slid forward from under the gas tank and covered the drain plug opening. I can push it back under the gas tank, but it will surely rattle around down there and slide forward again. Anyone know what it is, why it's there, and if I need to worry about fixing or removing it?

That is so funny. I just bought a 2013 200V and I saw the very same plate, only mine slipped aft. I can see it just behind the fuel tank and it’s just laying there.

Would also love to know what the heck this plate is for.

Here’s a pic of my plate. You can see some white dried adhesive on the top. It must just be a protective plate for the fuel tank.

I have a 2011 200V and have the same thing. My research has found that it is a “screw protector” to protect the bottom side of the fuel tank from screw tips of underwater gear coming up through the hull. I have not reattached yet. Thinking I will use 5200 adhesive.
