    2001 Super Air Prop ???

I'm a new correct craft owner - boat I have has a 4 blade prop with the following stamped on it: Johnson / Legend / 12 2000. I am looking for a backup prop (have always carried one on other boats owned in the past). Does anyone know if this is the original manufactor's stock prop on this model. Also, can you recommend a spare prop model number/size and dealer/phone number - thank you for your help.

    probably not the stock prop.

Get an acme 644 and keep that one as the spare.

Delta props has given PN a group buy, best price I found.

If it's not the stock prop, it must be a popular replacement since that is the same prop that is on my '01 SAN. I contemplated changing it out but never got around to it.

I wasn't able to locate the exact size, but it might be a 14x18, 1 1/8" shaft. There's a good info thread here.

A few say the ACME 644 might not be a great replacement for the GT40, and a few recommend the 611.

newwakesurfer, That actually is the OEM prop for your boat. The numbers stamped on it is the date in which it was made, It is a 14/18 Oj legend. Not a bad prop but there is room for improvement. The acme replacment is a #380 13.25/17.25 but I would recommend the #644 it will give you a better holeshot, and I could not tell a big diff in rpms over stock on my 00 SAN so it won"t kill your fuel useage either. Talk to Gary at ACME he is very helpful.

          Picked one up

Thanks for the great advice. Ended up purchasing a 644 ACME from DeltaProp - best price on the web, and includes a 5% discount and free shipping.

thanks again and I'll report back on the performance of the prop.
