Bug in 2019 LINC Panoray

Interesting. Haven't heard of that one before.

My favorite bug is the one where if you have Zero Off engaged and you hold down the horn button, the boat accelerates until the horn button is released. I am pretty sure they released a firmware update that fixes that, but it sure is surprising if it happens to you and you don't know it is there. This was an issue on the 2018 boats. I haven't tried it on my 2019 yet.

I have my presets down to 3 and it does not seem to be a problem . Back to Dock, Wakesurf surf style setting , Wakesurf skim style setting.

This is just a hunch . The middle spin wheel under user settings has all the user set ups. The upper far left of the Panoray screen when touched only stores the last 4 Users prompts, therefore if you were trying to delete the Wakesurf prompt no longer needed there was still activity in the deleting process causing the icon to contnue showing up while it is deleted in the middle spin wheel under user settings. Over time that unused Wakesurf setting, will just fall out of the Panoray system when you press the upper far left screen.

UPDATE: I have heard back from my dealer and Nautique has identified and fixed this bug. It's in an update dated 4302019.

This is all the information I have at this time.

As I learn the next steps I'll post them here.

UPDATE: The issue has been resolved

I have a new firmware file from Nautique that resolves this issue. I will post the link below but there are several requirements/warnings that go along with this:

- This isn't trivial. If you're not comfortable with firmware updates, have your dealer handle this.

- There is always the potential for "bricking" your LINC. If the power fails during the update or something is wrong with your USB drive, this could fail and leave you stuck.

- You will need your Dealer Code to get into the Dealer Menu in the LINC. I cannot provide that for you.

- This process will remove any new or modified user profiles (WakeBoard, WakeSurf, Back to Dock, etc)

- This process will reset your Switchboard shortcuts back to the factory defaults losing any customizations you have made.

- This process will reset the Daylight Savings Time option to OFF.

- Make SURE your batteries are FULLY CHARGED. The last thing you want is a power outage during the update.



If you still want to tackle this yourself, here are the steps:

1) Note any custom user profiles you've created/modified. Write them down or take photos with your phone. Also note the custom switchboard list you've created.

2) Navigate to Preferences/System/Dealer Settings. Enter the dealer code. Note/photograph this page showing which options are installed. You may need to reset these later.

3) Download the 4302019 firmware from here: https://dealer.nautique.com/servicedownload/?id=8f504e54-f776-4bd9-809d-b6e21de324fc

4) Copy it to a flash drive formatted as FAT32. The file must be in the root of the drive. No folders.

5) Insert the drive into the LINC Update USB port. Navigate to Preferences/System/System Info/Update LINC Software/Scan USB drive

6) It should find the firmware. Proceed with the update. This will only take a couple of minutes. When it completes, the LINC will reboot.

7) After the LINC has rebooted, power down with your keycode and the STOP button.

8) Power the LINC back on.

9) Navigate back to Preferences/System/Dealer Settings. Enter the dealer code. Ensure all of the options are correct as noted in step 2.

10) Navigate to Preferences/System and select Factory Reset Settings and confirm. This will reset the LINC back to the factory defaults.

11) Recreate/modify any user profiles noted in step 1. Reset the switchboard menu. If applicable, enable Daylight Savings time.


Again, if you are not comfortable with any of this, have your dealer handle it.

Yea. If you need the file you'll have to contact your dealer for a new link.
