We have a brand new 2019 G23. Boat is awesome. Only issue is that it is weighted heavy on the starboard side. I weigh 200 lbs and if I am in the boat alone and up on plane, I need to weight the boat with 450 lbs of ballast on the port side to get the boat to ride evenly. I also think that it is having a negative effect on the surf wave. Even with the NCRS at 2, it creates a large barrel at the back of the wave. Any advice? Have others seen this? I may add some counter weight (lead bags), but I know that you are not supposed to have to do this. Thanks!

You're experiencing prop twist and its normal. The rotation of the prop will cause the boat to lean to starboard.
Place at least 200lbs of lead in the port locker directly opposite the helm.(never heard that you're not supposed to put lead in boat?) Store your heavy stuff on the port side too.
When riding, move people around or use ballast shift for final balance.
On the rare occasions you're alone on boat, pump a little into port ballast.

All inboard boats do this and prop rotation has a lot to do with it. As philb states add lead to port side as needed if it’s that big of an issue. I just tap the ballast shift and add the addtl weight as needed ea time I splashdown. Pretty simple with ballast shift on these G boats.

As stated already it’s normal.
Wish you could rotate the prop the other way based on preference.Last edited by Profunctional; 05-13-2019, 04:59 AM.
