Rudder tuning after steering cable replacement

Hey guys - I just replaced my steering cable and now it’s pulling hard left if I take my hand off the wheel even for a second. Overall steering is pretty easy in both directions.
Is it normal to do rudder tuning after replacing the cable and would that fix this?

    Thanks!

I didn't have to do any tuning. The only thing I had to do was to make sure the cable extended about mid stroke when I installed the end on the tiller. Then I knew I was able to go lock to lock. Maybe you're rudder is biased too much to the left.

I dont see a new cable causing, but can see an old stiff binding cable masking it.

Here’s a video of what is happening. Icloud is stupid so you have to click the smaller thumbnail to play the movie. This was at about 10mph. I do have to be moving beyond about 8mph+ for it to happen and the faster I go, the harder it pulls.

This clicking sound also occurs (the dog barking sound does not always occur
I think if it did not rip so hard left, the click would not happen so I’m not sure that’s an issue. But the hard pull is...

Sounds like it's at the helm, like maybe the rack and pinion teeth are messed up. But that doesn't help you with the turning left problem.

I cant play the video for some reason....
Pretty sure I know what you are referring to on the "clicking" tho, its something that happens on some CC boats, many people have mentioned it on Nauiques & Centurions and from I have seen/read its not effecting anything. I checked the rack/pinion teeth on my boat and everything looks good there. My boat does this clicking when I am fully ballasted and first pulling up surfer if wheel is turned one direction or the other as you are taking off (does not do it if you pull surfer up in straight line), the clicking noise all comes from under helm by steering wheel and only does it under conditions noted above. I am thinking its just the water resistance against the steering system. Once boat is going 5mph+ or you are going in straight line, does not do it and you can still turn wheel easily with single finger. Over aroung 5mph+, you can turn boat and the clicking does not happen either. Mine is a 2014 and has done it since new.
Mine does not pull....if you have tuneable rudder and confirm you installed the new steering cable right, you should be able to adjust it so it doesnt pull tho from what I have read its only to make minor adjustments (I have never had to tune mine). Sounds like you may have an issue to work out tho if its pulling hard and not a more subtle pull to one side or the other. Believe you turn the back of the tuning piece toward the side with the pull but I could be wrong on that, been a while since I read anything on that subject.
