    Disconnected radio cable

Had some interior work done this winter. I pulled her out today for the first ride of summer and the little radio control by the steering wheel had this din cable hanging down and it doesn’t function. The radio works fine - just not this “remote” piece.
I have looked and see no matching cable to plug it into. Anyone know?

    Thanks!

That is the cable coming from the back of the clarion mw1 remote. There should be another cable that runs from the head unit and it plugs into that one pictured. Look under dash again or over by the head unit under dash and follow the cable.

Thanks. That’s definitely the cable. I looked under the dash again with a good light and there’s nothing to attach it to. I had the upholstery redone so who knows what they pulled out. I’ll try going backwards from the head unit.

If you have a picture of what direction the cable actually goes from the remote, that would be helpful too. Thanks

That doe snot look like an OEM remote install, so if aftermarket, cable routing would be at the discretion of the installer. Around the bow or under the walkway would be the most likely routes take. OEM would be around the bow I bet, and tied in with the boats other harnesses.

Scooter’s advice was helpful. I looked up the installation manual for my head unit and found which wire led to the remote. I then followed that wire which goes all the way around the bow to the driver console where it had been tossed behind the kickplate. Reconnected and it’s all like it should be.

          Thanks for the help!
