Salt water users - how long do your exhaust manifolds last?

Hi, looking at a boat with extensive saltwater history. Has the freshwater cooling kit and good maintenance overall.

Manifolds were last replaced two years ago. How long are you salt water people finding they last?

    Thanks!

It does matter where it was at,salinity varies. That said I was going through a set every 5 years in the Keys on a PCM powered Shamrock with fresh water flushing after each use. Some just changed risers as they go first,I changed manifolds and risers with genuine PCM. I'm on year 3 with Hi Teks- so far so good, but with their price could have gone 15 years with PCM's. Just trying to avoid all the work involved changing them.

Interesting. Is there a difference between risers on how long they last? PCM brand lasting longer?

I'm 99% sure this boat is not flushed after each use.

Don't know always just used oem. Just looked up my old records- first set was 500 hours and 7 years. Second set was 569 hours and 12 years. For some reason I thought I changed them 3 times .... I know some PCM Shamrock owners on the East coast change them every 5 years no matter what. Hope this helps,at least gives you an idea
