Which coil should I use with Prestolite electronic conversion kit. My current coil says use with external resistor. The Dim guys say I can bypass the resistor use my existing coil and be good. Yesterday I bypassed the resister ran the boat no wake for 20 minutes and the coil got very hot and eventually died. + - =0 ohms.

Any ideas would be welcome.
