So put the boat in the water this weekend for the first time (2011 210). Dealer serviced and winterized in the fall and I stored it in a heated garage over the winter. Maiden voyage was just a booze cruise around the lake. Half way around a big STOP warning appears and the throttle is locked down to idle. The warning is about overheating. NEVER experienced anything like it. Of course the warning message completely blocks out the temp gauge so I have no idea how hot it became. It was quite dark so really couldn't see anything but you could certainly smell the heat. So I get a guy to tow us back home.
Come down in the morning and pop the engine cover and discover that the Cat converter on one side is discolored. Holy Sh... So we try to find out if there is a blockage somewhere. Cant find anything. We fire it up and the temp never moves off of 160-165. Take it around the lake and it seems to be running fine. A mechanic comes out to take a look and none of us can find a thing. Has this ever happened to any of you? l
