Gt 40 not priming fuel pumps

My 2000 sport nautique with the gt40 motor is not priming the fuel pumps when I try to start it. I did jump the wire from the test on the back of the motor and they come on, but when i try to start it nothing. Any ideas?

If your pumps are good it Sounds like a relay.

Check all your battery cable connections. Even the ones on the other end. I had a loose connection in a strange spot one time. Very frustrating

Had similar symptoms when I owned a 97 Ski with GT40. A good test is to turn the key from off to run without starting the engine. You should hear the low pressure fuel pump come on for a second or 2. Do this 10-15 times and the pumps should be heard EVERY time. If they fail to come on even once then the relay is not working right. I used to go through a set of relays annually on that boat.... never really knew the real cause, but would just replace them annually and I didn't have very many issues.
