possible fuel issue 2005 210 SANTE

the boat ran fine for 2 hrs of surfing. i shut the boat down to swim for approx 30 minutes, boat would not turn all the way over afterwards so i let it sit for 45 min and then it cranked it and it idled after three failed attempts to crank . it was idling rough and sucking air hard. i let it sit for another 30 min and on the 3rd crank it turned over and idled fine. i ran it back to the boat ramp and it sputtered for a few seconds on the ride back. since then i check fuel filter ( less than 50hrs on filter) and it looked fine but i havnt ruled the filter out yet. dealer says possibly the anti syphon valve or high pressure fuel pump.

has anyone had similar experience? 450 hrs on the boat

    2005 SANTE 210 with zr6 6.0 vortec pcm

I've been told the low pressure fuel pump is the more likely fail point (compared to high). I just replaced both high and low this weekend. If you think its a fuel pressure issue, the consensus is to buy a fuel pressure gauge ($20 at harbor freight) and check throughout the engine (rails/high pressure pump), etc., and you can identify if it is a fuel issue.

Then again, my boat has been broken for two weeks with no results yet (although the low pressure pump was definitely bad).
