    2002 air nautique ballast system

Quick question about the ballast system. I have two valves in the engine compartment, I open both valves and then press the fill button on the dash. After a minute or so, water starts coming out the drivers side of the boat. Assuming the tank is full and that is the overflow. It also comes out the same holes when I empty it. My question is this. Are there two separate pumps for each side? I have holes on the passenger side of the boat identical to the right and no water comes out. What is my problem here? A bad pump for passenger side? Clogged line? Thanks for your input.

Unless its been modified.....two pumps for each tank....one fill one drain. Sounds like a bad pump....they are about $25 I think at wavemakers. On my 03 one of the holes is bilge pump drain hole. you should be able to see the lines connected to the holes from the underside rear compartments. If you have hard tanks and want the easiest modification to more weight ...and cheapest, I replaced the hard tanks with two 750's and kept the exact 4 pump system for drain and fill. Not as fast as new pumps etc. but it was the easiest and least expensive and now have the storage when they are flat.

Yea I’ve thought about replacing the hard tanks already. But mine is a direct drive and would have to pull the tanks and then drop the floor for the trunk and modify some new side panels to make it look Normal and then have the plumbing ran to the new bags. Anyways, thanks for the input! I’ll check the pump and get one ordered
