DTC 116: ECT Higher than expected stage 1

Got this engine code the other day. Probably just some crap on the intake. All other gauges were normal. Haven’t had any issues since.

The code is still on my “Engine Diagnostics” page on the Linc 2.0.

How can I clear the code. I’ve done a search and haven’t been able to find anything specific to clear it. Is it like a car, 11 or so good starts and the code goes away?

Thanks Click image for larger version

Only dealer can clear it I believe. Exhaust coolant temp too high. Stage 1 is not damaging. Check your water strainer and make sure it’s clear. If it is, the next things to check is coolant level and your water pump impeller

My boat is raw water cooled. No coolant. That’s weird.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll give Pacific Nautiques and ask them.
