    25 hour service

I have a new 2019 G23 with the 550hp XR7 (). What needs to be done for the 25hr service after first breaking in the engine? My dealer recommended a guy who keeps flaking and wants $500 to do the work. I'm pretty sure I can do it myself, I just don't know quite what needs to be done. I've already put on 40hrs and want to get this done ASAP. Thanks!

The 25hr checklist should be listed in your manual (there are 11 things listed in my manual) and from what I remember is the one service that dealer must do to keep PCM warranty intact cause they check engine mount alignment along with some other things like oil and fuel filter change, etc. I would not procrastinate on this one.

Anything you do yourself, document and keep receipts. I keep a log on my boat along with hard copies and digital copies of all receipts for things like oil/filter, impellers, etc.

Great advice to anyone doing it themselves

Thanks! My dealer recommended the mobile service so hopefully that won't void the warranty? He is supposed to obtain the necessary parts from the dealer. I didn't intent to go past 25hrs before getting my service but the weather and the technician just didn't cooperate. Not planning on any more hours before he's able to come out now though.
