    NSS Plate Travel

On a 2014 SANTE, what should the travel be on the NSS plate when operating on setting 5 in wake surfing mode and boat speed at 10.5 mph?

Scooter Mcgavin, thank you for your reply. Could you or another member give me an idea of the amount of travel, in inches, of the plate at the upper most top of the plate?

Here is a video of the plates fully extended and fully retracted. I’m gonna say roughly 3/4”- 1” on setting 5.

Scooter again thank you for your reply. After looking at the video the travel looks to be more than an inch. Is there any way for me to try this with boat sitting still and change settings from the LINC 2.0 screen to verify the amount of travel? I know I can put 12 VDC to actuator but that's a lot of messing around.

Don’t believe so, your boat needs to be moving at 5mph to get the NSS to operate through the link2.0. I’d say you’d have to power up the actuator. The dealers can get NSS to operate to test proper functions or to display at boat shows and they have a way. But I’m not sure what’s involved.
what are you trying to do with this measurement? What’s the plan?

I bought the boat used and out of warranty and I'm trying to verify all systems are working properly. Everything I've read states the 230 produces an awesome wake, but I've not seen that awesome wake yet so I'm concerned the plates may not be traveling as much as they are supposed to. They do move, but it appears only 1/2". Tough to tell when your surfing behind the boat and trying to look at opposite side. LOL

The ballast tanks are full as I run the pumps till the water squirts out all the outlets. I want the boat functional so the fam can surf.

How weighted is the boat? You said tanks, do you have pro ballast? Most people have removed the stock bags and added larger bags as well as bow weight. Without enough weight you won’t get that wave.

Pro ballast replaced with 750's by original owner in each rear locker and custom under seat bow sac added by me.

Try 10.8 with NSS at 2. More weight in bow makes wave longer

proper weight placement and lake depth you will be able to get a great wave with your boat. How deep is the water you ride in?
