    Battery Position 1 Not Working - G23

Was going to ask this question, but our vibration issue kind of overshadowed.

Charged the batteries up overnight, tested briefly and turned off before leaving and things looked good. Got to the lake an hour later and switched to battery position 1, nothing there. Super weird and unexpected. Switched to "both" position and good to go. It could possibly be a battery, but seems unlikely given the scenario and age of the batteries.

    Thoughts?

Do you feel that the switch engages, or clicks, as you move to Position 1? Or does it move freely from OFF all the way into Position 1 + 2?

If it switches into position without feeling it engage you could have a faulty switch.

If you have a multimeter you can check the switch for continuity into all positions and battery posts. You can also test battery 1.

The first thing I would do is see if Battery 1 is actually dead. It could be completely out of charge. If this were the case you are operating on one good battery.

No problem since it happened. Weird fluke - hopefully.

I would inspect your battery selector switch. They are very prone to cracking/breaking. I've already had to replace one on my 2017 GS20. I know that others have had them fail as well. Its probably not a bad idea to keep a spare switch around.
