I’ve got a 1990 Ski Nautique 190, somebody else took it out skiing for an hour on Sunday morning and he called me saying it stalled while he was mid-ski run. Apparently he got it started again, and was idling back to the dock when it died again. This time it wouldn’t start, so I started driving out to tow him back into the dock. As I got to him about 45 minutes later, he was able to start it again but it died ten minutes later and I had to tow him back. Now it starts fine and runs at any rpm while sitting at the dock but I’m afraid to take it out again until I can figure out what the problem was. The only issue I’ve had with the boat recently is the battery had to be recharged a couple times because of how much the bilge pump runs while it’s sitting at the dock. Thanks

What's the general condition of the ignition / fuel system? Could be anything. Personally, I would look at heat impacted ignition parts + fuel pump. My boat (EFI, electronic ignition) had some odd run problems due a worn hall sensor in the distributor but not sure that would apply to you.
EDIT: also, wiggle your throttle to check the neutral lockout + your kill switch. Simple tests.2004 206 Air Nautique Limited - Black with Vapor Blue (family style)
1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)
1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)
