ID:	586178 I have a 2010 Ski Nautique and suddenly the blower does not turn and throws the circuit breaker switch on the helm after some seconds. I guess the blower motor is dead now after 9years and 600hrs engine hrs.

I found the "china made" 240 DSM 4" blower motor on port side stern behind the fuel tank. Any trick to get it out there without taking out the fuel tank? I hope top hose can be stretched long enough to get to the wiring. My concerns are how to unscrew the 2 srews I see on the bottom side or did they even use 4 of them?

    Pics I could take

You have to take out the back rest but before take out the midle floor element where the seat is looked into and also take the seat cushion away. The Blower is installed on a plastic plate that is glued with some seal compound to the hull. Unfortunately my fuel tank was almost full. So I had some efforts to loosen the plate and take off the black hosethat runs to the outlet. When I was able to move the broken fan to the side I got access to the 3 screws and could take them off.

Installed new blower and put it back in place. Was not a easy job but at least I did not hae to take out the fuel tank.

I hope the new blower fan last again another 9years

Would appreciate some clarification on this. On my '12 there was one screw from that plate into the hull. I removed that screw, but the plate is still in there pretty good. How did you get it loose and move it to the side where you could get better access to the blower itself? I'm thinking maybe a putty knife or something, but don't want to wreak any havoc back there that I don't absolutely need to.

      Thx,
      Mike

        Hello,

I did remove one screws that did hold the plate the fan is mounted onto into the hull. But the nice people from Correct craft did use sealant glue like sikka flex or similiar to glue the plate onto the air inlet in the hull. So you need to twist and pull the plate aside to get it loose somehow.

When I put the plate with the new fan in I did just use the screw and did not seal it anymore. The new fan is even stronger so I do not care for some leaks from the unsealed plate.

Good luck and I keep my fingers crossed

I have to replace this blower also. Can't believe where CC put it considering there is sufficient space to the port side. My question is did you have to move or reposition the fuel tank to gain access? If so how did you do that? Did you remove the plate the blower is attached to? Just pry it up? Thank for any advice you can provide
